Sunshine Systems LEDGP45 LED Grow Light 28WT Sunshine Systems LEDGP45 LED Grow Light 28WT

i took the chance on this LED technology. so far the growth has been much superior than i expected.

I liked this product. I am buying another. The light was very easy to set up. It is cool and light. My tomatos are doing well so far,but as they get bigger I think I will need another light.

After several years of chasing the sunshine when he starts his seedlings, my husband can finally plant them on the workbench. Things sprouted just when they were supposed to. Next step is to see how they grow!

Sunshine Systems GlowPanel 45 is the REAL DEAL. If you are used to the HPS or other lights that have more white light, it would seem weak in brightness but it works. Very efficeint light. I believe it has 104 5mm? LEDs maybe 108 (cant remember). The blue LED leans toward the violet side and the red LED is more pink, covering the proper spectrums and leaving out the other more visible spectrums. On the other hand, the coverage area of 5 SQUARE feet 2.5ft x 2.5ft is slightly over exagerated, the coverage is more in the 3.9 to 4.1 square foot good coverage range. Outside that the plants lean in toward center. Inside the plants turn a bright, vibrant, green. I have only had it for about a month and had to stop the growth cycle due to pests and "other" issues but they were healthy, vigorous plants. I have had two other LED panels of similar sizes. I would recomend this panel over any panel on Amazon under 160$ maybe as much as 300$. The GlowPanel 45 makes the 225 led panel look silly weak. GLOW YOUR OWN!

I have 3 tomato plants growing for the last 3 months solely under one of these lamps. I will say that I probably need a second one now that the plants are getting big but they are still growing fine. They do NOT grow as well as outdoors, of course, but .... Not sure this will work for with a full indoor garden as the tomato plants haven't started flowering as I would have expected yet but we'll see. This will be great for getting my tomatoes a 2 month head start on summer tomatoes. This will for sure be a perfect lamp for starting my entire garden early in February.

Sunshine Systems LEDGP14 LED Grow Light 14WT Sunshine Systems LEDGP14 LED Grow Light 14WT

It's a good product, but the assembly, eyebolts with the smallest nuts imaginable--too small to handle, even with jeweler's tools. It's just absurd. The assembly should have been accomplished in the factory as preassembly wouldn't have negatively affected packaging/ease of shipping. I ended up jury-rigging with some difficulty. What were they thinking? Better yet, WERE they thinking?

For the past 10 years, I have been growing herbs, peppers and vegetables outside during the summer. Everything I plant is started by seed. I have made several attempts to bring different plants inside during the winter and none have made it. This winter, I was determined to be able to cook using fresh ingredients. I spent dozens of hours researching grow lights, hydroponics etc. I have read several scientific studies as well as reviews on different indoor gardening methods. My research led me to this 14 watt LED Grow Panel. I would have loved to have bought a metal halide lamp, however, there are some overwhelming reasons I did not. My plants are next to a window so they can get some natural sunlight during the winter. I did not want an excessively bright light shining from my window. I have four 100 watt metal halide lights around my house and they illuminate my 2 acre lot like its daytime. I cannot imagine what one of these lights would do indoors, not to mention the heat and possible fire hazard. My neighbors would probably think we are getting abducted by aliens. I ordered the grow panel and received it in just a couple of days. My grow light shines on two Thai pepper plants in their own pots, a pot of sage and two large pots with various tropical house plants. The room stays around 60 degrees (not optimal for growing) and all of the plants are thriving. The light is on a timer and stays on only from 7pm to 7am. During most of our Winter days, the sun barely makes an appearance. I had a sun room in my last home and was able to grow most things indoors (during the summer only). The one thing that NEVER grew indoors was any kind of peppers. The sun room would be a consistent 85 degrees with full sunlight. The pepper plants would look great but no peppers. As soon as I brought the plants outside, boom...peppers. Today, in the middle of Winter, my two pepper plants are sprouting a ton of new peppers. We have plenty of fresh sage and the house plants are as green as ever. All of this in 60 degree temperature. You will not go wrong with this product. In regards to the two negative reviews about this product. Compact fluorescents or tube lights DO NOT produce results anywhere close to this product. As far as the comment about "the whole industry would use this product if it worked", C'mon. Where have you seen commercial green houses use any type of grow light? Green houses/nurseries are a seasonal business. Why would they sell plants in January? Its much cheaper to import produce from southern climates than to populate a green house with grow lights! Incidentally, I had a minor issue with my grow panel 35+ days after it was purchased. The vendor replied almost instantaneously and went out of their way to make it right. If you plan on doing any indoor gardening or starting your own seeds, you will love this product!

This product it a piece of expensive junk. I feel I wasted a hundred and thirteen dollars. I brought two of these and tried them for several weeks. At the same time, I had a "Fluorescent Grow Light System" in place on another seedling. The results where that the seeds under these panels grew extremely slow and where extremely weak and fragile. Under the other system, the plants grew fast with thick roots, branches and stems. Everything else was the same, pot size, soil, water type and amt. Don't waste your money. You can get better result with just florescent lights.

The nursery industry is HUGE..if LEDs worked as advertised every green house in the country would have them.90% less electricity for better quality light? The government would pay you to install them!.Millions of dollars would be at stake and yet no one has converted whole commercial grows to LEDs.If the smart money hasn't jumped on after all these years of claims then it must not work.If I'm wrong, that's great! but until an independent nursery gets into the wall street journal because they installed leds therby slashing their costs, providing a better product, creating jobs and dominating the industry while being green I won't buy one. That's how revolutionary it would be if their claims were true.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE IT'S RIGHT UP MY ALLEY.! YUP.! G-G

I've used many different incense over the years, including expensive hand-rolled creations with intoxicating fragrances and hand-harvested ingredients, but I always come back to Nag Champa. The scent is rich, sweet, musky and exotic. It's calming effect can be felt the moment a bit of smoke wafts into the atmosphere.

Flower Pots (That Patchwork Place) Flower Pots (That Patchwork Place)

Reviews

Good book. Useful information for making this quilt. I had to purchase the book to make the "free" pattern the author offered as not all the directions were included in the "free" pattern to download.

Cindy Lammon's FLOWER POTS is a fun pick for block-of-the-month clubs or for individual projects and offers a fun quilt project based on garden flower designs. Close-ups of blocks based on flowers and flower pots make for clear instructions any quilter will appreciate.

One quilt from seven blocks and flowers that never die is what you will get in FLOWER POTS. Using these blocks, you can create the quilt that Ms. Lammon intended. Or you can be even more creative and make a combination of your own with one, two or three (or more!) of the blocks. Six pages of basic instructions begin FLOWER POTS. Things like pressing, folded triangles and ways to do appliqué are found here. The pattern begins with a materials list that will create the whole quilt. Each block pattern gives the cutting list for that block along with a finished photo of the block. Instructions on how to put the block together follow with large, easy to follow graphics. The assembly of the quilt has its own cutting list and how to assemble each row. The final pages provide all the templates needed to create your flower blocks and even better, they are full sized so no need to enlarge them. The final page is a short bio of Ms. Lammon. This small book gives you lots of possibilities for making more than just the quilt shown.

I received my "Flower Pots" book from Amazon last week--love the book--very colorful-lots of sewing hints-lots of projects--can't wait to get started sewing the patterns.I had bought the first book by this author:"Gathered from the Garden"--it was a well done book also. There is a lot of helpful information passed along with the patterns and great photos.I am very pleased with my purchase. I even purchased another one to send to my friend in California.

Flowerpots: A Seasonal Guide to Planting, Designing, and Displaying Pots Flowerpots: A Seasonal Guide to Planting, Designing, and Displaying Pots

Reviews

FLOWERPOTS `A seasonal guide to planting, designing and displaying pots' by potter and British author Jim Keeling discusses the many facets of pot design, production and use. Keeling includes text and photos describing the phases of pot production at his facility at Whichford, England 1) as the preparation of the various materials - local clay and clays from the Thames Valley and Staffordshire; 2) molding and shaping techniques using the potter's wheel and other pot formation techniques; 3) the eventual destinies of many kinds of pots from those used to hold small seedlings in greenhouses, to large clay pots suitable for a wonderful display of blooming apple trees, to works of art composed of clay pots of various sizes or assembled into garden sculpture or an arrangement of containers filled with colorful plants. The photography in Keeling's book is beautiful with many up-close shots as well as a few `ebullient' photos from displays at the annual Chelsea affair showing lovely and colorful flower arrangements sure to peak your interest and inspire you. Keeling discusses the life of pots as containers relative to weather conditions, not only addressing adjustments to the swings in hot and cold temperatures associated with the seasons as we have traditionally known them, but picturing the gardeners life as she adjusts to effects of the of secular trend known as Global Warming. If you want to understand more about the possibilities of clay pots as containers and works of art, begin here.

I liked this book. But there are better books if you are looking for a "how-to" for container gardening. Mr. Keeling rambles, from clay to pots to plants. Which is in order, but he just gets going on a subject and leaves it. A bit frustrating. When he stays on subject, very good. The pictures are very good, and give you the best guide for planting. This was an idea book for me. I learned quite a bit about the workings of a pottery. Interesting. Good books for containers. "Contain Yourself" and "Euroamerican Container Garden Cookbook". Both by Kerstin P. Ouellet. Also, "Gardening in Containers" by the Editors of Fine Gardening Magazine.

Jim Keeling's Flowerpots isn't just another general guide to flowerpot planting: it offers a seasonal approach to pots, is seasonally arranged, and tells how to structure pots for all four seasons. Advice on pruning, feeding and container pros and cons is based on Jim Keeling's personal English-style cottage gardens and is illustrated with lovely color photos by Andrew Lawson.

A both a potter and gardener, author Jim Keeling combines practical horticultural skills with a visual appreciation--not only of the plants but of the pots themselves.

PotLifter 200-Pound Gardening Heavy Lifting Tool PotLifter 200-Pound Gardening Heavy Lifting Tool

This thing is worth it's weight in gold. Bought it to move a Big Green Egg grill that was impossible with just my wife and I. Bought this, and we were able to move it around like it was 10 pounds. Seriously, the person that invented this should get a freakin medal.

I have to admit, I was skeptical, but this really worked and made life easier moving heavy plants into the house for the winter. I thought I would use it just myself as well, but it is truly a two person tool

Great tool for lifting pots. Used it to carry a six foot tall rubber tree in an 18" pot to our second floor. Made the job easy.

What a relief to own this product. It is so easy to use and makes moving our heavy pots around very easy!

This item does indeed do what it says with lifting heavy pots. It could use a bit more stabilization with the super large items but in general does exactly what it says. We've moved several huge rocks for the garden bed borders and also a big magnolia tree in pot and it did great. I'd recommend it. Easy to use, easy to store.

Hydrofarm Emily's Garden System Hydrofarm Emily's Garden System

I found this very difficult to assemble and returned it. It would be better if received already assembled.

I have started a small garden in the hydrofarm. It was easy to set up. The pump is a little noisy so you don't want it in a bedroom. I so far have harvested salad greens. Now I'm working on trying to grow swiss chard, tomatoes, and green beans. It is a fun hobby. I am doing better with this then when I grow plants from seeds in dirt.

This system is great. I bought it in the middle of January and it is currently mid April and I have zucchini about a week or so from harvesting. It is so nice to be harvesting in the northeast as others are just starting to plant. I have the following things growing in my Emily's garden: strawberries, squash, zucchini, bell pepers, cucumber, and watermelon. I know it is pushing this system beyond what it is designed for as the reservoir is only about 2 gallons and if the watermelon ever get big they can go through that in a day. I have huge leaves (and I mean close to a foot wide) on the zucchini and squash and I'm putting in about 1/2 gallon of nutrient solution a day. I have pictures of the garden at www.mysimplehomegarden.com showing Emily's Garden in action and I also have blogged so people can see the history of how I got from an empty basement to a vegatable garden in my basement.

Emily's Garden is a terrific small kit for those wanting to grow plants indoors. It's a passive wick system. Very simple to set up and maintain. Perfect size for herbs and vegetables. After harvest, you can replace the wick material with felt from your local fabric store. Much more cost-effective than the stuff from a hydroponic shop. The air pump and hollow "air stones" or tubes can also be found at your local pet supply store, if you need to replace them.

I chose this unit after reviewing all the options for trying out hydroponic gardening, and now 30 days after receiving it and 29 days after starting seeds, I'm very pleased with the results. I've posted a picture so you can see how nicely everything is growing. Everything you need but a plant light and seeds is in the kit, and I started out with just 3 fluorescent bulbs and a southeast window, and salad garden seeds left over from last year's outdoor garden. The manufacturer makes commercial hydroponic systems, so I figured they would do a simple home system right, and they did. I'm thinking of buying a second one next winter, as this unit only takes up half the length of my plant light. What's not to like? The air pump does not fit its recess well, and I had to tape it in and pad it to keep in place without buzzing. They don't tell you whether to set the pump on "high" or "low"; low, I figured, and it seems to work fine. The system is all plastic, and one of the pots already had a minor chip in it when I got it. Finally, the instructions are awfully sketchy (just a single sheet) for a beginner, though they were enough for me, an experienced outdoor gardener who had already researched the subject on the internet.

10 Jasmine Blooming Flower Tea 10 Jasmine Blooming Flower Tea

The blooms in the water were beautiful, but the tea itself hada very gritty, almost "earthy" taste to it which i didnt like. I used them to make interesting centerpieces because when they bloom its gorgeous, but I owuld not suggest actually trying to drink this stuff. Plus some of the "petals" get loose and float to the top which make it have that "gritty" taste.

Purchased as a birthday gift for someone that enjoys tea. She said it was very pretty and the tea tasted great. She didn't even need to add honey or sugar to the tea.

This tea is fantastic. Everyone I gave it to for Christmas also loved the tea.

10 Blooming Flower Tea - 5 Jasmine and 5 Green 10 Blooming Flower Tea - 5 Jasmine and 5 Green

I purchased two sets of the blooming jasmine and green flower teas as Christmas gifts. The recipients were thrilled to have received such interesting presents. Both of them raved over the uniqueness and fantastic tastes of the teas. The only negative with these gifts is that it will be a little more difficult to purchase something these hard to buy for relatives will find as delightful this next Christmas!

I got these as a gift for my mom, who is an avid tea drinker. The blooms opened and were not nearly as pretty as I thought they'd be. They looked more like seaweed. The taste was terrible, granted, I only tried the jasmine, maybe the green tea is better.

The tea tastes decent (I have tried the jasmine so far), but I wasn't as thrilled by the presentation. I was expecting a breathtaking and colorful bloom. Instead, I poured the water over the tea ball, and it just floated lazily to the top. As the hot water soaked in, the bland colored tea leaves slowly opened and revealed...a wad of more bland colored tea leaves in the middle. It eventually sunk to the bottom and sat there looking like a hunk of pond weeds. The only color whatsoever was a few tiny pink petals that floated on the top of the water. Someone walked into the room and asked (with a trace of disgust), "What is that? A sea anemone?" So, if you just want to drink a delicate tea, these would be fine. But don't expect to the wowed by the blooming action.

The tea arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. It was perfect for a gift, and I kept some for myself. It is absolutely delicious. I will definitely order again. The price is much better than most others I've found.

I fell in love with flowering green teas from our local tea shoppe, but I was very dismayed with the price ($4/ball!!!). I was elated to find this listing since it amounts to about $1.50 per tea ball and it tastes great, better than what we get at the fancy store. It has a light delicate flavor that doesn't get bitter at all! You can make five pots of tea without degradation of flavor or any increase in bitterness. Highly recommended!

The fancy tea (blooming flowers) I received was very old and dried up, when I put the boiling water over the blooms they were so dry they fell apart into tons of little pieces and never bloomed, they just looked like blobs instead of the beautiful blooms I've had before from my local tea shop. Lesson learned.

The FlowerPot Men are a forgotten piece of the 1960's "Lets go to San Fran" is a great song however there are honestly some other great gems on this CD. As the material progresses you can see that the music was shifting direction. It starts out as kind of light psychadelic art rock, only to become a early formation of THE EDISON LIGHTHOUSE singng syrupy sweet bubble-gum ballads of the early 1970's. One point of interest is the fact that the Flowerpot Men used the Mellotron. This doesn't sound too strange until I realized that they they were on Deram records. Huh! TheMOODY BLUES were also on Deram records, were the FLOWERPOT MEN using Mike Pinders' Mellotron after hours??The songs were very ambitious however, the recordings are dreadfully muddy. However the album is still very enjoyable.

ToySmith Garden Tote with Tools ToySmith Garden Tote with Tools

Reviews

The item was smaller than expected, however it is a well made product and very suitable for the 5 years and younger group.

This "toy" is the real thing. My daughter asked for it when she saw it over christmas in a boutique. I ordered it from Amazon because it was significantly cheaper. The toy does not disapoint, all of the tools are real, but sized down to fit a child. The bag is cute and sturdy enough to use in a real garden. This is my daughter's second set of gardening tools. Her first, was more expensive and purchased at a home improvement gardening center, but they were plastic and too difficult for her to use. She has already announced that she will have her own garden this year. I believe she plans to plant barbies and potatos. I know the potatos will grown, not sure what she imagines a barbie plant will look like.

The item purchased was of superior quality to what I had found in my local Target, and the delivery was extremely fast. My granddaughter loved it, and plays with it almost every day.

I purchased this garden tool kit and tote for a 6 year old who loves to work in the yard. It is sometimes hard to judge the quality of a product without seeing it. This one did not disappoint me. The tools were constructed of wood and metal, and the tote was made of sturdy canvas with cute bugs stamped on the side. I added a pair of garden gloves and some seed packets in the the tote to make a really cute gift.

I haven't given this gift to my 7 year old grand daughter yet, it is for Christmas. She loves to garden and I believe this will really please her. It is very durable, and the totebag has lots of pockets which I have filled with seeds,a small watering can, etc. I hope she will like it as much as we do!!
