The previous 1 star review is way off. He doesn't know anything about poppies. The Danish Flag is the exact same species of poppy grown in Afghanistan and elsewhere. This is a variety of an Afghani cultivar of the papaver somniferum bred for it's coloration. It's only called Danish Flag because of the colors and cross. But if he's ever seen a classic Afghan poppy he'd see the pattern is exactly the same, the red is just a lot redder in the Danish Flag variety. The Danish Flag is easy to grow as long as it has decent soil, enough space, full sun, and fairly dry conditions around flowering. Plant in the late Fall or early Spring. At germination and lettuce stage they prefer a shorter 12 hour day, at flowering they prefer a 16 hr or longer daytime. Try to plant where you intend to grow, they hate transplanting, and it will stunt their growth. Can be grown in pots with varying results depending on the pot's size. Keep them well drained. Plant by broadcasting in a soft flower bed, or tamp into soft soil, and thin the runts a couple weeks after sprouting. The seedlings are fairly resistant to frost and snow and thrive under cool conditions, the flowers and seed pods like bright sun and dry conditions.

This supplier obviously has gardening in their blood, as the package I received had been put together with great care and attention to detail. Love the little seed packets, and full instructions given. I have been looking for Lauren's Grape for some time now, although I did not know it's name until now. I saw it growing in a garden I visited, and thought wow!! I have to have some of that. I had only got photographs to go on for comparison. Apparently Great Dixter has trialed it, and it had great reviews. Unable to get anyone to part with some seed here in the U.K. so I decided to go further afield. Whilst searching I also found this lovely white specimen. Can't wait to see what happens with these two specimens in 2010. Will definately keep this seller in my favourites for future purchases.

I ordered several varieties of poppies from the seller. Shipping was immediate, packaging adequate, good information with shipment, and included a free pack of seeds of another variety. Seller is courteous and prompt. It will be a few months yet before sowing, so germination is an unknown. Looking forward to trying it out.

I ordered 5 poppy varieties from 'One Stop Poppy Shoppe', and recieved them very fast. They arrived very well labeled, with pictures and names on each package. (Included was a sixth package, a thank you gesture?). Included was growing instructions, and a brief history of poppies. This is July, so I haven't planted them yet. The mix will make a very interesting garden, something the neighbors don't have.

This cream would have obtained a 5 star rating if it had not been for the poppy seeds, which are messy & quite a nuisance. I don't see where these seeds offer any benefit to the cream itself. Otherwise, the cream is excellent, as I have noticed an improvement in my dry skin.

If your choice of Burt's Bees was influenced (at least in part) by the desire to avoid the health-compromising corporate sphere--as mine was--the news that Clorox now owns Burt's Bees might be important to you.

I bought for roommate and she says nothing has made her skin as nice.She had blackheads that were not going away for a yr. and they went away in 2 days.Great product.

This was the first facial scrub I tried from Burt's Bees, which is such a fantastic company. Their products are made from all natural ingrediants, are very high quality and many are comparable to more expensive products. This is a gentle face scrub with a soft, lemon pie smell to it. It leaves your skin moisturized and toned. The only complaint I have is that the exfoliating action could have been a little more intense, and also I did get poppy seeds stuck in my pores on a few occasions (not fun). I prefer Burt's Bees citrus facial scrub over this one for the aforementioned reasons, but it's still a good product.

For my facial type, which is very sensitive and somewhat dry, this is the best cleanser. The poppy seeds do not dissolve and help to scrub the face. The actual cleanser is moisturizing and smells just like cooking muffins (of the lemon poppy seed variety, of course). My skin never feels as if it is reacting with this, as I have had problems with in the past with other cleansers. I would recommend this product for sensitive, dry, or normal skin. It is just a good all-around cleanser, as well as a good precursor to the rest of the Burt's line.

These are the best Poppy Seed Muffins from a Mix - we made 12 muffins out of the mix and they were all over the top of the pan and delicious. Would definitely buy this brand again.

I like the book, but is a strange mix some really good design and some really bad designs

Anyone Googling "lemon poppy seed" for the recipe might be surprised to see this book pop up in the search. But, if you're an artist or designer in any of the visual fields, you'll find this 272 page softcover a breath of free air. The book design, by noted publisher Gestalten Verlag, is kept to a minimum. The only text includes the name of the artists, the title of the pieces, and the page numbers. There's also no introduction, artists' statements, interviews, manifestos, etc. to sway your opinions, allowing you to freely explore the terrain on your own. This international collection of contributors features spread after spread in lush colors and subtle muted tones. Any black and white art/photography has the full tonal range from 0 white to 100 black. If you liked the style and content of the soon-to-be-reinstated "GRAPHIC" magazine, but without all the tiny text, then you'll no doubt find these works inspiring. If only this were an exhibition catalog from a traveling show. That way, you might get the chance to see these works in person. [...]
