Italian Herb Garden Trio: Indoor Garden Gift Set incl. 3 planters, dip tray, seeds, peat soil pellets.Reviewsgiven as gift; well received and just what person wanted. Has tried it out and very pleased. Only 1 out of the 3 herbs seem to be growing....The Oregano. I'm not happy with this product. This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. I was with her when she unwrapped her gift, and she loved it, loves growing herbs. The pots are really nice also. Pots are extremely attractive, but much smaller than I was imagining they would be...but for an inside herb garden, I guess that could be a plus. I have not planted the seeds that come with it, I bought these to plant cat grass and cat nip for my kitties. Aside from wishing they were a smidge bigger, I am pleased with this cute little set. I am happy with the ceramic tray and containers - not happy with the seeds. One had no seeds and the seeds in the other two failed to produce. Average Rating:![]() |

AeroGarden 900211-1200 3 with 3-Pod English Garden Flowers Seed Kit, WhiteReviewsI bought this item for my wife for Christmas. Following instructions, the seeds came up, and then turned light green, withered, and died. We have done as the instructions said, and are quite unhappy with the results. We would be willing to give it another try if we could get additional English Garden seed pods, as we originally bought. We are mature, in our 70's, and not used to complaining, but this kit is certainly not up to expectation. Gene Lehman It is a fine product if you don't want to deal with dirt and seeds. It is easy to set up, and not much attention is needed after setting up the system. You can also switch to different seed kit using the same system. It works like a dream! Small enough for apartments but gives you wonderful results. New pods and replacements are easy to find, so you can always have a small indoor garden year-round. I received an Aerogarden 3 for Mother's Day and my daughter-in-law saw it and just loved it. So when her birthday came around, I got one for her and she is thrilled! I bought a packet of tomatoes separately since they are one of her favorites. So I got this as a gift for my dad and the first one came DOA (the air pump did not work) once I got the second one I followed all of the instructions on the kit and yes, the flower started to grow, but as time passed it started to rot and eventually all of them died I would not recommend this product Average Rating:![]() |

Demon Seed [VHS]ReviewsThis is OK as a Sci-fi thriller & at least served as a break from the lunar gill masters that hump women (all the girls love that kind right?). Now we have, jump on the machine its stronger & lasts longer. Was it easier to get a dates legs apart after the monster / machine thing? While that is what is visually on the screen it's the effective way they work the psychological horror into the dialog that makes this worth a look. The evil computer had been done before but they still found a way to make it creepy again. By the way, you can't rent this at an in-vitro clinic. The real show here though is Julie Christie who has played in some great off-beat thrillers. Try "Don't Look Now" if you've missed them all. There you get Donald Sutherland too. Here she carries it totally alone. It doesn't hurt that she is one of those continental women that is hot without DD breasts. The machine had no use for them. The introspective looks she makes into their? relationship & the wavering between no way in hell & OK buddy get it over with so I can move on are great. I was tickled to death that the computer starts out by asking. You know, like a lot of guys. When the answer is no the computer says OK & takes his club to her head. He then does what he dastardly wanted to do with her. Don't you know its the first time for her & she gets pregnant. Some of this could've been rethought but it was "their" first time at almost creating a sub-genre. There is a lot to enjoy here. Don't go in thinking that Sci-fi & horror would be dead if this hadn't been made. Demon Seed is over-hyped a lot. A good movie to watch! 3.5 stars I saw this film when I was in my teens and thought it was interesting and disturbing, all at once. I revisited it again in my 30's and I still love it and appreciate it even more now, given my increased ability to understand its themes. The film explores a fine line between technological innovation and complete robotic intrusion and replacement of human emotion. There are several scenes such as that, where the machine almost is "offended" by Susan's character's "mockery" of having a child. The other is when Susan looks at the child at the end, knowing that she must carry out the task of being a mother, despite the disturbing and unsettling circumstances. The film's philisophical debate of how and why a machine can spontaneously become self-aware, has been explored in many films before and after, but this one, given its time period, claustophobic and horrifying scenes, use of sound, and that horrific voice of "Proteus" achieves a blend of psychological horror rarely seen. The film makers have effectively grappled on screen, with Koontz's concepts of where humanity ends and machine begins. The other interesting idea is how the husband reacts to this child; his obsession in creating and advancing this technology has trumped any kind of anger, jealousy and outrage. The being must be preserved given the risk and work that has been expended on the project. Proteus itself chooses when and where to stop functioning, effectively taking the power away from its makers, and through the forced preservation of the child ends up triumphing. Very interesting film-definitely recommended. I'm a diehard Julie Christie fan. I'm old enough to have seen the original when it first came out in 1977. On opening night, I was the very first person in the theater (which for the most part remained nearly empty, if I remember correctly after all these years). At the time, I was a gnurdy grad student at Urbana, one of the original supercomputer sites and one of the original sites that led to what was to become the Internet revolution. For fans of evil computers, by the way, Urbana was the birthplace of HAL. Until last night, I haven't re-watched it, so it was a nostalgic trip for me. Adding to the overall tone of the movie was the violent thunderstorm that broke out while I was watching it. From the geeky side, I broke out laughing when I saw the then state-of-the-art 8 inch floppies. From the sexual fantasy side, a robotic arm tieing Julie up, an electric scissors cutting away her clothes, a probe coming at her ...need to stop here. There was a romantic, poetic side to the Proteus/Julie encounter, however. Movies are always filled with cliches representing orgasmic moments ... blowing curtains, crashing waves, hilarious imagery in Airplane. Here, we see exploding galaxies; the ultimate Big Bang (haha). Whether this is a great movie or great sci-fi or great commentary on man/machine/environment interaction (it now appears ahead of its time on environmental concerns) is somewhat besides the point. This is a movie for Julie fans, since she is the sole human for 90+% of the film. Though she had long lost the youthful glow she had in Dr. Zhivago and the quiet beauty she had in Far from the Madding Crowd, she was still hot (a brief voyeuristic scene as Proteus ogles her as she steps out of the shower and looks herself over). Hey, she gets a computer worked up. Proteus's CPU was overclocking at 100% utilization, his RAM buffer was certainly full, and his hard drive (not floppy) was burning out its bearings revved up in overdrive. I can imagine the alarms at the NOC going off as the overtemp sensors kicked in; now that's an unexpected scenario for emergency cooling systems. This DVD has been discontinued and is currently being sold off at bargain-basement clearance prices. Get `em while they're hot. I read the book first, and was disappointed in a few things. Mostly that Proteus is totally in love with her in the book, and is a straight up cold blooded killer in the movie version. Also, in the book Proteus was able to access multiple systems and had a human assistant that he broke out of an institution or jail. That dude was hard core in the book, and Proteus would get pissed when he got a boner from looking at Susan. His assistant killed Walter. Plus, the special effects were about as gay as you can get. Even for 1977. The programmer leaves his woman alone in the house with a terminal off the main frame computer in the basement. The computer has his way with her and is born. Wow a computer gets lucky! Average Rating:![]() |

AeroGrow AeroGarden with Gourmet Herb Seed KitReviewsi've wanted one of these since i saw it in an overpriced kitchen store last summer. i don't seem to have any luck growing herbs from seed and keeping them alive. this neat little machine had the seeds started in no time at all. some of the plants grow faster than others, but i've just been trimming them down to let others catch up. working very well so far! i find it wonderful to have fresh herbs at hand in the winter. i just set it up less than four weeks ago and i already got to use my basil. the only thing is to set the light timer to go off around bed time. it is incredibly bright!! I'm sorry to read so many have had problems with their AeroGarden. I have had mine for a year and have absolutely loved it. My first crop was herbs, all of which grew beautifully and abundant. My current crop is garden flowers and the flowers are lush and pouring out of the unit. Really lovely in the dead of winter! I guess it never occurred to me how long the unit would last; I hope it will last some time. In that respect, if the unit only lasted a year, I wouldn't replace it as they certainly aren't cost-effective to purchase over and over. I use well-filtered water and followed the directions to grow herbs and then salad greens. both have failed. why? white fuzz aka fungus/mold. even tried to pull out any seed casings or seeds that did not sprout to avoid the mold. kept water levels high at all times. even added hydrogen peroxide to the reservoir. failed!! called support at aerogrow and they said they cant do anything about it except send another seed kit and I should disinfect the system again. did disinfect with hydrogen peroxide not bleach for my second planting. very disappointing...salad greens look like they are limp and dying. roots are becoming brown. mold is greatly reduced however salad greens look sick and dying. will try to plant my third set of seeds after using chlorine bleach this time. very frustrating. no clear answers. would not recommend purchasing the aerogrow. i unfortunately stuck with the pro200. Fast growing, fresh produce that you know is safe to eat. Pennies a day for water and electricity. You can even use your own seeds. Could not be easier. No green thumb required. The AeroGarden works well and I am happy with my plants. It is, as another review commented, a bit noisy. My three star rating is not because of the product, but because the company's customer service is basically non-existent. If you have a problem with the product, forget about getting any support. They don't answer their phones, they don't return calls, and they don't respond to email. Average Rating:![]() |

Fenugreek SeedReviewsI had not had a problem making enough milk for my little guy but a few weeks after I went back to work, I noticed I was having trouble pumping enough milk for him for the next day, not to mention to store in case of an emergency. I was told to take 2 of these pills 3 times day. First day I took it, I only took 2 pills because I wanted to see if a smaller daily intake would suffice. Well, I'm glad I only took one dose because the next morning I woke up engorged. Had I taken more I think my boobs would have blown up. I take 2 pills once a day and every morning my bra is soaked with milk. Now I'm not so nervous about making enough milk for him and now maybe I don't have to lug that heavy pump back and forth from and to work. Hopefully I'll be able to make enough in two pumps and I can leave it at work. A couple of reasons for the 4 stars and not 5. I do smell a hint of that curry smell, not great, but not overwhelming and also, my baby has been having issues with gas and has kept me up for a couple of nights. I'm not sure though if Fenugreek has anything to do with it. I'll update when I figure it out. Fenugreek works for me. I recommend it for anyone looking to increase their breast milk production. I will continue to use it as long as I'm breastfeeding. I could definitely see a difference in my breast milk production within the first 2 weeks. I used this with both of my children when I went back to work and needed to pump enough milk. I couldn't stand the taste of the mother's milk teas, so this was SO helpful to me! It worked within 2-3 days. I did need to take about 8-10 capsules per day, and I did smell like maple syrup (fenugreek smells like maple and with such a high dose it does come out in your sweat), but it was worth it. Neither of my children seemed to notice/mind, so I don't think it changed the taste of the milk at all. I highly recommend this for any nursing mothers trying to increase their production! I love this product it is excellent it increased my milk supply rapidly, i noticed an increase in one day. I usually am skeptical about products like this, but when i saw that my milk supply was not enough for my baby i turned to other measures. My breast milk did not come in until 2 weeks after I gave birth and when it did, it was too little. My doctor then recommended Fenugreek. Within a week of taking it, I noticed that I was producing more milk. My baby is now 15 months old and I am still nursing. Average Rating:![]() |

Highest Lignan Flax Oil by Barlean's Organic OilsReviewsIt is definitely one of the best flax seed oil products on the market.I have been buying this product for years from a local nutrition store, but after ordering it online I do not think I will ever go back to buying it from the store. The flax seed oil I received from this seller was much fresher than the one I buy at the store. It tastes so much better. I will definitely buy it online from this buyer again! Barlean's is something I've always used for myself, and recently started giving it to my American Bulldog too. It's a great thing to add to his food as it relieves dry skin and helps his coat as well. For this purchase, I had to go online as I was laid up and couldn't go out to the Health Food Store I usually drive a ways to. This flax oil has a delicious nutty flavor. The best source of omega 3, 6 and 9. Fresh taste!!! I like the taste of flax seed and often use ground flax seed in my recipes, but now I know that flax seed oil is completely different. It tasted fine, but even when using mixed with food, it gave me awful indigestion. After two tries, I couldn't bring myself to try again. Fortunately, I had purchased it (via Amazon) from Swanson, and they stood my their money-back guarantee. Ok, this is going to sound kind of odd, but after taking Barleans Flax Oil for a few days I noticed my video game scores significantly increase. Playing certain kinds of video games well involves a great amount of concentration, good reflexes, and awareness. My video game scores continued to be higher than I had ever seen in my life as I continued to take flax oil. The only way I can account for it is that my brain finally started getting something that it wasn't getting enough of before (Omega-3?) and I was able to function on a higher level. I experienced a subtle increase in feelings of well-being too (not just because I was pwning n00bs). I've also noticed that after eating a meal with good fish I always feel great. I'm no health or food expert but I think omega-3s are very important for a balanced life. Average Rating:![]() |

Peel Off Mask - Grape Seed Extract - 6 oz. - GelReviewsI just started using this product a few weeks ago. I am a big QH product lover and have been experimenting alot with new makeup, skincare etc in the past month. I wanted something that would 'dissolve' crap in my pores(if that makes sense). This mask is goopy, and it smells pretty strong, but you can feel it working. It almost is like a enzyme cleaner. I feel like its soaking deep and getting the job done. It minimizes pores and makes your skin ultra smooth after using it. Ok, I'm a huge QH fan and this is my most recent test. This mask is great! It shrinks my pores better than the clay masks and also seems to exfoliate by peeling off that uppermost layer of dead skin. It also actually peels off in one piece for the most part (my husband thought I was peeling off my skin, he about fainted!). Anyway, I love it except for 2 small issues. The first is that it's pretty goopy and difficult to spread in a thin, even layer. It takes a little working with to get used to it. The second is that the alcohol fumes are a bit tough on the eyes if you accidentally get it too close, but it does go away after a while. It does smell faintly of grapes due to the grape seed extract, but don't expect it to smell wonderful. I learned a long time ago, however, some of the best-working products are the ones that really smell terrible, so just learn to get over it! Average Rating:![]() |

HARRY POTTER HOGWARTS HERB HYDROPONIC MANDRAKE ROOT HERB AND PLANT SCIENCE EXPERIMENT KITReviewsThis kit was fun to use with my nephew. It's more for the botany fan than for the Harry Potter fan, though! It's only loosely related to Harry Potter in the labeling and instructions. It also requires extra materials that aren't included in the kit. They're not expensive, but if you want to open it and use it right away, you'll be delayed. Drawbacks aside, the seeds were fresh and sprouted with little work, which is pretty key for a "grow some plants" kit. It also opens up some other experiment options if you've got some imagination -- buy some seeds at the store and try out some more hydroponics, or buy some more nylons and herbs or different types of grass seed, and sprout some more mandrake heads! Value is not in the materials purchased, which are meager, but in the learning that stems from the experiments. Average Rating:![]() |

The Cannabis Breeder's Bible: The Definitive Guide to Marijuana Genetics, Cannabis Botany and Creating Strains for the Seed MarketReviewsOver the last few years I have read several publications that covered the topic of growth and harvest. I have also read a plethora of articles on grow room construction and infrastructure for a good grow and a healthy garden. This said, I have never seen a publication so in-depth and concise in regards to plant biology, genetics and reproduction. I have had to go back to my old volumes and brush up on my knowledge just to get my mind around the fundamentals of this book. Not for hobbyists! This is a very professional and easy to understand publication that I would recommend to any serious breeder or ANY flora whatsoever! grow you good thing. Sadroc 75 I think this is a really good book for people who understand horticulture and have been growing for a long time and want to expand. It is however no good for the first time or novice who may get confused with the scientific nature of the book. I bought this book with the hopes of learning something about genetics, and I learned that the author should devote some time to reading "marijuana botany" by Robert Connell Clarke. Unfortunately "The Cannabis Breeders Bible" is not a "definitive guide to marijuana genetics" the book is more like recycled garbage from a bunch of other grow books. It does nothing to explain the real deal with breeding like identifying strains that are compatible and in turn can breed. He puts it in a manner saying all you have to do is find a male and find a female and voila you have seeds. Any good cannabis breeder knows this is not the truth. Anyone looking at this book should just buy "Marijuana Botany" and leave it at that. The Cannabis breeders bible did nothing more than waste my time. This is an excellent resource on cannabis genetic's and how cannabis genetic characteristic's are utilized from the male and female plants.. IT IS NOT FOR THE BEGINNER wanting to learn how to grown cannabis, it is for experienced growers and designed for the advanced grower or anyone interested in cannabis genetic's to create their own variety of cannabis. If you do not have the time to understand how genetic's work nor do not understand basic chemistry about genetic's, this book is not for you. Verl McCown, GG I Lightly read part of this book when i first began to read about cannabis. Boy oh boy was it a handful. This is a very advanced book. If you are simply a toker then i wouldn't suggest this book, but if you are an advanced grower/breeder this is for you. I would suggest reading other grow material and particularly greens grow bible before diving into this book. I will have to read it again now that i am a little more knowledgable. Seed Sowing and Saving: Step-by-Step Techniques for Collecting and Growing More Than 100 Vegetables, Flowers, and Herbs (Storey's Gardening Skills Illustrated)ReviewsI've just started my gardening career and this book has some very good information. Mostly the information that I was looking for was concerning the planting and maturity times of the seeds as well as the storage of seeds. How to get the plants to produce the seeds and when is the best time to harvest the seeds and of course how to store seeds over the winter and longer. Mainly I'm looking for vegetables and this book covered both vegetables and flowers. With that said I wish the book covered just vegetables, but I'm growing a few flowers as well to fend off some of the bad bugs that attach the garden vegetables. Overall, this was a fairly good book, but more information on vegetables would improve my opinion of the book. Nice Book, but slow getting here compared to past purchases, but within the delivery date window This book is easy to read and understand on how to save seeds from your plants. I look forward to using it this summer. I wrote a talk on seed saving for my garden club and this is the book I referred to the most! It has informative diagrams with closeups of what the seeds look like, and it actually tells you how to separate the seeds from the chaff, and has a chart of what kind of storage conditions each seed likes. I also used it in the spring to start seeds for the very first time - it was a real life saver for those of us who don't know what we're doing! I didn't know some seeds had to be cooled first, or scarified, or how to do it, and this book shows you how. This book covers the most common vegetables and flowers that are propagated by seeds - practically everything I was growing! I love this book!
