I started these in cardboard egg crates last spring, then transplanted in my back yard garden. The stalks were HUGE - be sure to have something to stake them to. I saw traffic slowing as they turned the corner on my street to get a view of the huge sunflowers over the surburban fence lines. I live in a fairly new - barren - subdivision, but squirrles appeared and feasted on the flowers, and decided that my yard was a good place to hang out - which is fine by me. The blooms were breath-taking!

I planted mine in a separate area next to my yellow and mixed color sunflowers and they never sprouted. (shrugs) I wonder if I got an old batch of seeds.

I love sunflower seeds, chocolate, and cherries, so you can imagine my delight when I found these Chocolate Cherry Sunflower Seeds available on Amazon. When the packet arrived, I tore it open and downed the entire contents into my eager mouth, expecting an explosion of chocolate-cherry-sunflowery sapidity. Instead, I got a mouthful of hard shells. I crunched through the tough, outer hulls, wondering at the inventiveness of the manufacturers who had somehow injected chocolate and cherry flavors into hard, unopened shells, but then as I macerated both hull and softer kernel into a splintery mash, found that the chocolate and cherry flavors had somehow gone missing. When my wife came home, I mentioned to her how I was ripped off by the Chocolate Cherry Sunflower Seeds which lacked both chocolate and cherry flavors and, in fact, were barely edible. My wife picked up the empty packet, looked at it for a moment, and then hit me over the head with a dining room chair. "You idiot," she said, "these seeds are for planting." She then clobbered me with an antique, oak coat tree. "I don't know why I ever married you," she continued, "you are always doing stupid, embarrassing things, and no matter how hard I hit you, you never learn." She then whacked me with the coffee table for emphasis. Maybe I had gotten a bad batch of seeds. I think I will order them again, and the next time, the manufacturers had better not forget the chocolate and cherry flavors, or someone is going to get a beating!

I have finally gotten into the holiday spirit and started baking (fruit and nut breads / muffins this year) and decided to give these bread machine mixes a try. Love them! Delicious! And The Prepared Pantry gave me excellent customer service when I called and brought their attention to a couple of missing muffin mixes. The two muffin mixes arrived within three days. I will most certainly be ordering these again.

I send this bread every year to my Dad for Father's Day as he has a bread maker and he LOVES this bread. Gotta do it!

I love my bread machine and I love this sample pack. It is the best of this sort of thing I have ever purchase. There was not a dog in the entire collection. I confess that I did not buy these at this site (they were a gift) but I also confess that I will be buying more. I know for a fact that my friend paid much more for the ones she purchased that the ones offered here. Of course I am lucky, as even if these had turned out terrible, I could still have foisted them off on my dumb sister, who probably would have put ketchup on them and eaten them anyway. As it is, she will not get a bite. Highly recommend this product. No, I was not really kidding about my sister...she and her family of Neanderthals put ketchup on virtually anything and it would not surprise me if they did not slather it on this bread too. Sad, oh so sad.

My stepfather is retired and has been enjoying making bread in his bread machine. I bought these for him for Christmas and both he and mother said they were excellent. I thought all the bread mixes I found were rather expensive, but these were comparatively inexpensive. Plus, he is always hard to shop for, so it was nice to find something I was pretty sure he would enjoy.

I really enjoyed this collection a lot-i have a great bread maker and every single loaf came out perfect.

This has to be the best and easiest bread machine mix I've come across. Incredibly simple directions and impossible to fail. Plus the loafs come out perfect everytime (I've had issues in the past with getting whole wheat flours to rise as well as white flours). I've purchased this "collection" several times and will continue to do so.

I have baked many, many loaves of bread (many different kinds) from this seller. Every loaf has turned out perfect. The instructions are very clear, you add water, butter and yeast ( yeast supplied). If someone has a problem with these instructions, then perhaps, they should buy their bread from a market. cal

The item was smaller than expected, however it is a well made product and very suitable for the 5 years and younger group.

This "toy" is the real thing. My daughter asked for it when she saw it over christmas in a boutique. I ordered it from Amazon because it was significantly cheaper. The toy does not disapoint, all of the tools are real, but sized down to fit a child. The bag is cute and sturdy enough to use in a real garden. This is my daughter's second set of gardening tools. Her first, was more expensive and purchased at a home improvement gardening center, but they were plastic and too difficult for her to use. She has already announced that she will have her own garden this year. I believe she plans to plant barbies and potatos. I know the potatos will grown, not sure what she imagines a barbie plant will look like.

The item purchased was of superior quality to what I had found in my local Target, and the delivery was extremely fast. My granddaughter loved it, and plays with it almost every day.

I purchased this garden tool kit and tote for a 6 year old who loves to work in the yard. It is sometimes hard to judge the quality of a product without seeing it. This one did not disappoint me. The tools were constructed of wood and metal, and the tote was made of sturdy canvas with cute bugs stamped on the side. I added a pair of garden gloves and some seed packets in the the tote to make a really cute gift.

I haven't given this gift to my 7 year old grand daughter yet, it is for Christmas. She loves to garden and I believe this will really please her. It is very durable, and the totebag has lots of pockets which I have filled with seeds,a small watering can, etc. I hope she will like it as much as we do!!

Our birdfeeders constantly get raided by squirrels so I decided to try SquirrelStop. This device works great! The second a squirrel jumps on the feeder, SquirrelStop starts spinning along with the feeder causing the squirrels to run!!! I highly recommend this product to everyone who'd rather see birds on their feeders than squirrels :)

I gave this unit to my son-in-law for Christmas, he said it works great. The squirrels have stopped trying to steal bird seed.

With the Squirrel Stop and a chain between it and the feeder to avoid play in it.It's great!

Eventough I have not been able to watch the squirrel swirling around I got about a dozeon of them and they do not steal our bird food anymore. Great product.

We bought two and they both work just fine. It took a few days before they finally got tired of jumping on and being dumped off while spinning. It made for some great laughter. Still they come in and try it ever so often I guess to see if it went away.

I have been using this seed in my bird feeders for the last couple of months. The birds are happy. This description says it is 99% clean. The Ace web site says it is 98% clean. The bag doesn't say one way or the other. It clearly isn't 100% clean. I gave it 3 stars because the price is outrageous. At my local Ace Hardware, I paid $13.99 for the 20 lb bag. $23.99 would be a reasonable price for the 50 lb bag, but this is the 20 lb bag. If you live near an Ace Hardware buy it there or on the Ace web site with free delivery to the store.

I was disappointed that this book has only one page of advice on growing sunflowers, plus two pages on pest/animal control. The book's strong points are colorful photos and descriptions of different sunflower types, and art and decorating suggestions.

Great book with beautiful pictures. Very informative with abundant wealth of ideas. Made a great gift.

This is a great perhaps one of the best books for sunflower lovers. It is very comprehensive and contains loads of information about almost everything you can imagine relating to sunflowers. Chris SunflowerOcity
