Kona Coffee Bean 10 Tree Seeds -Coffea-Gourmet-Tropical Kona Coffee Bean 10 Tree Seeds -Coffea-Gourmet-Tropical

They were good enough to pack the plants I ordered in plenty of packaging, with a warm block to keep the plants from freezing, but I suspect it was not enough. Would have liked to seen the plants come in a slightly larger planter, but cannot complain too much. As the plants were shipped during wintery conditions, I'm not surprised I've had a 50% mortality rate.

They said that the product would arrive within a week, but it actually came three days earlier. The quality of the product was also fantastic, which makes this a very good buy!! I would definitely recommend buying seeds from this company!

Super Dwarf Patio Banana Plant - Musa Super Dwarf Patio Banana Plant - Musa

Arrived perfectly fine and healthy- just re-pot it, water it, and watch it grow! I've had it for about a month now and it has grown like a weed! very happy with my purchase

Plant arrived in decent condition, packed very tightly with a "Song of Jamaica" that I had ordered from the same seller. Multiple leaves were bruised and two of the six leaves were torn almost halfway off. Needless to say, the plant was still very much alive and kicking. I replanted into a 5" pot temporarily, and then replanted into a 10" shortly afterwards. Since it's arrival (just about three weeks) the plant has mended itself as much as possible, and has grown two beautiful new leaves with no sign of slowing down. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.

I've had this plant less than a week. It came very healthy (lost maybe two small leaves in transport), looks very much like the picture on amazon but smaller. Handled transplant to new pot great, even opening up a new leaf already! I hope it does grow fruit eventually. All in all I'm very happy to have it. Would definately recomend this seller and plant! Thanks!

I was concerned about having a live plant shipped to me. But it was shipped quickly and packaged well. I waited 2 days then repotted the plant in a 12" container. I've had it 3 weeks and it's doing well. It has even grown a new leaf! I did notice, however, you can't place this plant in full sun, no matter how long. This will cause the leaves to "burn". Also, if the plant gets too dry, it will warm you by "curling" the leaves. Thanks, Hirts, for a beautiful plant! Even if it never gives me bananas, it is a gorgeous plant.

It came very fast and none of the leaves are falling off but they look pale. I repotted them and watered them and put it under a lamp so hopefully evrything will do well. I'll update later on...

Hydrofarm Seedling Heat Mat Hydrofarm Seedling Heat Mat

Reviews

Bought 2 of these mats to sprout seeds in spring of 2010. Some of the seeds I was using were up to 11 years old. I had excellent germination rates for most of the seeds, 100% for many of the varieties. It was shocking. Loved them, will be using again and again.

I have one of these for germinating and use it with the Hydrofarm thermostat. Works great!

We live in the mountains of far northern Idaho necessitating starting many vegetable seedlings inside and under grow lights 4 to 8 weeks before it is safe to plant in the ground, which for us is in June. I bought 2 of these seedling heat mats, and my seedlings were sprouting in half the expected time. I plan on purchasing two additional mats for next year. I am very pleased, and highly recommend these heat mats!

This is worth every penny. My seedlings sprouted within a couple of days of planting compared to seedlings grown without which took 2-3 times longer.

Ordered this item to get an early start on gardening. It arrived quickly and was easy to use. Does just what it claims to do. It gets warm, not hot. We placed it under a plastic multisectional seed tray and the seeds sprouted quickly. Reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that the product was a bit smaller than the tray and, I would assume, most trays of that type. I suppose that wouldn't matter if you were starting out with a bunch of individual pots.

The first thing I noticed when I opened eCOTRITION Tropical Fruit & Seed, was a very pleasant smell of fruit. I had not expected that bird seed would actually smell nice. It smelled like real fruit and I could sit little dried bits of fruit like papaya in the mix. Unfortunately, my parakeet doesn't think the fruit is as appetizing as I do and refuses to eat it. She's not a big fan of fruit in general though, which is why I tried to find it in "seed" form. I'm sad that my bird doesn't like this seed since it would be nice to have her cage area smell like fruit.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Ed Perry, and his knowledge of sea-beans and nature is astounding and generously shared. This book is perfect for anyone with an interest in Atlantic shore drift seeds. Actually, I live on the Gulf of Mexico and find it very useful here too. The book is 217 pages. The first 66 pages contain the following brief, but highly informative chapters: The History of Sea-Beans and Early Uses The Role of Ocean Currents Renewed Interest [in sea-beans]in the US and Abroad Research Currently Underway Growing and Polishing Sea-Beans Other Current-Borne Drift from the Tropics Sea Turtles and Sea-Beans Making a Collection Pages 67 thru 192 contain the catalog of sea-beans with color photographs, identifying descriptions, and other information on 68 major varieties of sea-beans along with their many variations. The book includes an alphabetical list by family name and by common name, as well as a glossary of terms, a bibliography, and a very useful index. It is a must-have in the library of any Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico shoreline beachcomber.

This is the "go to" book for for identifying sea-beans. I have it tabbed for quick reference. Not only does it have all the information about the sea-beans and drift nuts I've found, but also the history, folklore and how to make, clean and store my collection. A valuable resource and a great book.

I love this book. It is a fantastic resource, complete with color photos. An absolutely essential book to have if you live by the sea. You will be able to identify the cool beans you find along the shore with this book. I have learned a tremendous amount about drift seeds from reading this book. Highly recommended. Enjoy & Happy Beaning! :)

Excellent guide book with photos and text. Helped me identify the beans that I have collected on the beaches of Key Biscayne.

World Guide to Tropical Drift Seeds and Fruits World Guide to Tropical Drift Seeds and Fruits

Reviews

This is a good book. It is scientific & complete with excellent drawings of sea beans. It is a must for any sea bean collector.

A 1976 classic, reprinted at the occasion of the 1999 Sea-Bean Symposium. As reprints go this is quite good, with a sturdy cover. The book consists of a general part (Introduction, History, Currents & Beaches, Collecting & Uses, Key) and a catalog. The latter, which comprises just over half the book, consists for each entry of a page (or less) of text and a page (sometimes three) of line-drawings. The line-drawings are not of top quality but adequate.Although it is good to have this back in print it would have been far preferable to see a revised, expanded and updated edition. In this day and age the black & white photographs in the general part look distinctly out of place, especially for such an appealing subject matter, lending itself so well to spectacular color photography. The topic deserves better?
